How we came to bee!

Thank you for stopping by!

Santa Fe is now a "Bee City USA", joining over 100 nationwide cities in committing to protecting pollinators and enhancing pollinator habitat in the city of Santa Fe. Created through Resolution R #2021-15 on March 10, 2021, Bee City Santa Fe is hosted by the Randall Davey Audubon Center and sponsored by the Santa Fe Water Conservation Office.

"Bee City USA® and Bee Campus USA work to galvanize communities to sustain pollinators, in particular the more than 3,600 species of native bees in this country, by increasing the abundance of native plants, providing nest sites, and reducing the use of pesticides. Bee City USA and Bee Campus USA are initiatives of the Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation." quoted from Xerces.
